conditions of use

By accessing, browsing, or using the PetroSentinel platform (the “Platform”), including any dashboard, API, data feed, report, alert, or associated service (collectively, the “Services”), you (“User,” “you,” or “your”) acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

If you are accessing the Platform on behalf of a company, organization, or other legal entity, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms, and all references to “you” shall refer to that entity.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must immediately cease all use of the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after any modification to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

PetroSentinel is a geopolitical risk intelligence platform designed to assist energy sector professionals -- including oil and gas operators, energy traders, maritime insurers, and related professionals -- in monitoring geopolitical risk conditions affecting global energy supply routes and critical chokepoints.

• →Real-time and near-real-time IRR-E (Energy Route Risk Index) scores derived from aggregated open-source data
• →Geopolitical event alerts and intelligence summaries sourced from public data feeds including GDELT, AIS vessel tracking, OFAC/EU/UN sanctions databases, and other open sources
• →Situational maps, chokepoint risk matrices, and analytical dashboards
• →Email alerts, API data access, and automated intelligence reports (depending on subscription tier)

• →IRR-E scores are analytical models, not objective measurements of actual risk. They reflect aggregated data processed through proprietary algorithms and are subject to model limitations, data gaps, and inherent uncertainty.
• →No content on the Platform should be interpreted as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any commodity, security, financial instrument, or derivative.
• →No content on the Platform should be interpreted as legal advice regarding sanctions compliance, force majeure determinations, contract obligations, or any regulatory matter.
• →No content on the Platform should be used as the sole basis for evacuation decisions, route changes, asset deployment, or any operational decision affecting personnel safety.

• →Financial losses, trading losses, or loss of profits arising from reliance on IRR-E scores, alerts, or intelligence summaries
• →Losses arising from delayed, inaccurate, or missing data
• →Losses arising from Platform downtime, data pipeline failures, or service interruptions
• →Losses arising from operational decisions made in reliance on Platform content, including route changes, asset deployment, or evacuation decisions

Permitted uses of the Platform include:

• →Internal risk monitoring and situational awareness for your organization’s operations
• →Inclusion of IRR-E data in internal risk reports, provided PetroSentinel is attributed as the source
• →Use of API outputs to integrate risk signals into your organization’s internal systems, subject to your subscription tier

Prohibited uses include, without limitation:

• →Reselling, redistributing, sublicensing, or commercially exploiting any Platform data, scores, or content without prior written agreement
• →Reverse engineering, scraping, or systematically extracting data from the Platform beyond authorized API access
• →Using Platform data to create competing products or services that replicate the IRR-E methodology or any proprietary index
• →Using the Platform in connection with activities that violate applicable laws, including sanctions laws, export control laws, or securities laws
